This place is HUGE. It is no joke if you are a fan of art and history and would like to see everything in detail, you will need more than one day here. They also have special exhibits for limited time so you can see something different whenever you come. We arrived in the morning on a weekend and waited in line to enter but once inside there was no wait for tickets though the place only got more and more crowded over the course of the day.

Amazing is an understatement. The amount of history that is here is astonishing. We spent close to 4 hours in here and we could have done more. Well worth it. This is a must to experience while in New York. After, grab a hotdog outside and relax on the steps and take everything in. Truly incredible

The MET is the BEST! The rotating exhibits are always so fascinating—this time we saw the Caspar David Friedrich exhibition. I believe it’s the first time such a large collection of his works have been shown over here. Two Men Contemplating the Moon, which lives at the MET, has been a favourite of mine since college—it was wonderful to see it alongside some of Friedrich’s other moody, romantic pieces (The Cross in the Mountains was such a treat viewed in person!). It was interesting to see some of his preliminary watercolour studies and to learn of some of his artistic inspirations as well. I love you MET ❤️!!! I can’t wait to visit again 🌠 🌟!
