Love the Tate Modern, one of the most unique museum venues for art. You have to go to experience it if you’re in London. It’s on the south side of the Thames along the Jubilee walk. A spectacular experience inside and out. I visit every time I’m in London. World class art in the permanent collections (most of which are free) and some of the most accessible and interesting exhibits you’ll ever see for a small entry fee.

Awesome place—always a fun visit! The free exhibitions are always great to look at. I haven’t tried the paid ticketed ones, so I can’t comment on those, but I absolutely love the permanent free collection. It really takes a few visits to see everything properly—it’s a bit of a push to do it all in one day. I arrived at 3pm and it closed at 6pm, so I couldn’t see it all, but the atmosphere was really good throughout.

Along with Tata Britain this is one of the best galleries I’ve ever been to. There are iconic pieces from art history - Duchamp, Pollock and Warhol - and a wonderful range of photography and sculpture too. We only did two floors but will definitely be back. The Rothko room was a particular highlight - a good example of how much being in a space with works can transform your experience of them. Absolutely worth a visit - get there early as the crowds can get busy.
