The National gallery is just immense, we seemed to walk for miles and yet I think we missed half of it. The art works are spectacular, and are well presented and laid out in spacious galleries. Some areas get busy yet some areas are remarkably quiet. The building is large and magnificent from the outside but some of the internal rooms and beautifully crafted and decorated and were almost art in themselves. The art works are beautiful with all the major artists on display. Lovely to see the original of some familiar work. The Coronation portraits of HM King Charles and HM Queen Camila were on display. The painting of HM Queen Camila was beautifully done and very impressive, the portrait of HM King Charles maybe will attract more critical opinion. I must mention the toilet facilities were perfectly kept they were bright clean. The Gallery is free and is a true national asset

Such an extraordinary gallery. The re-arrangement they have done is fabulous! I always get a thrill of excitement revisiting these wonderful works of art. The cafes are great and the shops too. I didn't visit any of the paid exhibitions this time I was too excited to see my favourites again. An incredibly uplifting place to spend a couple of hours.
