A beautiful building inside and out with so much to see. Once inside you can pretty much start anywhere and work your way around, personally I feel like you'd need a week to explore it and take it all in if you was to try and look properly at every display and description as the museum is so big, so I wouldn't rule out another day trip down the line. Such variety to explore, it's fascinating to see. I'd recommend booking in advance to avoid queues. It's free and easy to book. Obviously, we expected it to be super busy but I wouldn't say it was too busy to ruin the experience. My only struggle was the temperature inside is unbearable at times, being extremely hot. Picnic area down below was great place to stop and rest for lunch. Nice gift shop too. For us a was a great half term family day trip.

I have always loved museums, and the Natural History Museum very quickly became my absolute favorite. Despite having visited multiple times, I still haven’t explored everything this place has to offer. Each visit reveals new exhibits to see, fascinating information to read, and countless opportunities to learn. The grandeur of the building’s architecture is breathtaking, perfectly complementing the sweeping, thoughtfully curated displays inside. The experience is truly immersive and inspiring. Visiting this museum always encourages me to reflect on our place in the vast timeline of history. It’s a humbling reminder that humanity is just a brief chapter in the story of the natural world—an insight that resonates deeply here. My favourite exhibit has got to be the Cheddar Man in the Human Evolution gallery. The facilities are top-notch as well. On especially crowded days, I appreciate the peaceful picnic area where I can take a break away from the hustle and bustle. It’s a thoughtfully allocated space where visitors can enjoy a packed meal or snack at their leisure—an excellent addition to the overall experience For anyone visiting London, the Natural History Museum is an absolute must-see. If time allows, I highly recommend returning multiple times to fully appreciate its incredible depth and diversity.

This museum is an absolute must-see! It’s full of fascinating natural history exhibits, but my favorite part was Darwin’s section, so inspiring. You can see artifacts from his voyage, and yes, even a first edition of On the Origin of Species! Don’t miss the beautiful statue of Darwin sitting right at the entrance, it really sets the tone. Admission is free (which is amazing), but I still recommend booking in advance. Get there early to avoid the crowds and enjoy a more peaceful visit. You’ll probably spend around two hours here, though it’s easy to stay longer. The big blue whale skeleton hanging in the main hall is absolutely breathtaking. It’s the largest mammal in the world, and the size of it, stretching across the entire ceiling, is something you won’t forget. There are so many cool exhibitions, from scientific discoveries to evolutionary biology. One of the special exhibits we saw was about earthquakes, it even had a Japanese store replica that shook like a real quake, which was pretty cool and immersive. The gift shops are adorable (though a bit pricey, as expected), but they do offer meaningful and themed souvenirs, perfect for taking a memorable piece of the museum home with you.
