I visited near the end of June on a weekday morning when they opened with no tickets. I entered on Montague place which was easy and only waited maybe 10 minutes to enter. Absolutely stunning, highlights were the Egyptian mummy exhibit, the Rosetta Stone and the central hall. Lots of kiddos on field trips and super crowded towards the afternoon. Otherwise, this is a must see, don’t skip!

Very huge museum. Interesting fact that it was the first museum in the world open for people for free. And it is still free to access these days, you just have to book your visit in advance. I would recommend buying an audit guide, and paying 6 pounds. And if you do so I strongly recommend sending tours to your phone to be able to use offline mode, because the connection inside the museum is quite poor sometimes. Spent around 4 hours.
