Cute little mosque on the edge of The Bosphorus. Perfect stop to catch up on prayers when visiting Ortakoy. Ladies prayer area upstairs. Ideally located near the water boat station, where you can find tasty food, Kumpir, and ice-cream.

visited the Büyük Mecidiye Mosque (Ortaköy Mosque) and it was honestly one of the most beautiful spots I’ve seen in Istanbul. The location right by the Bosphorus is unreal—you get this amazing view with the mosque, the water, and the bridge all in one frame. The architecture is so elegant and detailed, and the inside feels really peaceful with all the light coming through the windows. It’s not a huge mosque, but it has so much character. Definitely a must-see if you’re in the area.
