A short walk along the beach from Cirah and this amazing place opened out. Turkey is doing amazing things with its Roman remains, and that can be seen here better than anywhere we’ve been. Work is very obviously ongoing on one side of the creek, but the other side has clearly been untouched for centuries. The contrast is exquisite and helps you realise how much work goes into presenting and preserving the remains.

The ancient city of Olympus, if you are planning to visit Çıralı, then this will be an attraction. It is a good walking spot for Turks because the fee is lower, but for tourists, the entrance fee of ten euros to visit the ancient ruins may be a bit expensive, most they are all rebuilt. After visiting the ancient city, relaxing on the beach will be the best thing, you can bring some water, food and a book to spend the afternoon, but remember not to leave any garbage. :)

It's great to see the ancient city changing and being cared for by the authorities every year. This year, the temples have been raised, and there are some new ancient mosaics found. I look forward to seeing the changes next year. The entrance was also changed this year, offering more refreshing views. You can enjoy Turkish coffee and ice cream at the museum coffee shops. Unfortunately, they have canceled the showers, which I think is the worst decision. There are toilets and prayer rooms, but no showers or dressing rooms. The municipality should add showers and dressing rooms. When it comes to the beach and the ancient city, it's definitely one of the best places to visit and swim. If you have time, swim to the cave just under the castle bridge. You can reach it from the beach by swimming. Enjoy your time there and don’t miss visiting the ancient city!
