Totally worth the effort to visit from Barcelona, even better if you hire a private guide! Our guide pre-booked our tickets to listen to the boys' choir, and knew exactly how to bypass crowds and long lines. Line up early if you want to sit up front. Views were gorgeous, and we enjoyed sampling local cheese and nuts sold by locals whose stands line the path to the parking lot.

Can either get there by train or cable car, cable car is scenic and takes about 10 mins but you are waiting a while. Nice area to walk around, lots of walks and a handful of shops to get food/ drink / souvenirs. To go into the monastery costs a bit extra, can scan the qr code to buy online which is cheaper about £12 a ticket.
