Rainy day is a perfect day for art. This gallery is a place for inspiration for all art lovers. It’s vast and better plan spending 4-5 hours there. I took audio guide and was lost in time. Love it.

Art museums can sometimes feel overwhelming, filled with endless hallways and masterpieces you're not sure how to appreciate. But the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow was different. Stepping inside felt like stepping into a warm embrace of Russian art history. Maybe it was the way the chronological layout unfolded Russia's artistic journey, or perhaps the sheer passion for Russian culture that resonated from every canvas. One of the things that surprised me most was the sheer diversity of styles on display. From the deeply religious icon paintings of the early days to the bold strokes of the avant-garde, the Tretyakov Gallery showcased the evolution of Russian art in a way I hadn't seen before. But it wasn't just about the artistic movements. Certain paintings jumped out at me, leaving a lasting impression. The Appearance of Christ by Alexander Ivanov was the one of the iconic piece of the museum. The Tretyakov Gallery wasn't just a museum; it felt like a conversation with the soul of Russia. It allowed me to understand the country's history, culture, and emotions through the eyes of its greatest artists.
