It’s my 2nd visit to Olumo rock and I enjoyed it just like the very first time I visited. It involves a lot of climbing so be mentally ready 😂 Ensure you’re dressed light and have a bottle of water as well to keep you hydrated. Olumo rock served as a hideout for the Egba people during the wartime. There’s always a tour guide to show you around. From the top of the rock you can see the different towns in Abeokuta as well as some notable building/places such as NTA Abeokuta, Ogun river, MKO Abiola building, Baptist Boys High School Abeokuta etc There are also some notable trees such as an Iroko tree that is over 100years and the tree of doggedness and resilience that can withstand severe harsh weather conditions. A visit to Olumo rock is highly recommended whenever you’re in Abeokuta.

Finally took a tour of the World Famous Olumo Rock! The ancient aura of Olumo Rock is palpable - you can feel it in the very air you breathe! Olumo Rock is breath-taking, especially when you touch the bare faces of the rock while taking the "ancient path" towards the peak. You feel you're on top of the World when you look at the Skyline from the Peak! It was an exhilarating experience being at one of the most famous Tourist Destinations in Nigeria 👌

It was very nice to visit Olumo Rock. Be ready to climb the most narrow space ever. Yes, you will arrive at a very nice view, but don't be fooled, the journey ahead is super adventurous. No barrier, if you're scared of heights to the point of tears and shiver, just use the stairs. Get to the top and use the stairs back down cos when you go through the narrow climb, you cannot come back down. You need to go and climb. Please follow the tour guides and listen to their every instructions whilst climbing and you're good. We climbed and I am here writing about it. It was ADVENTUROUS!🤭 I am scared of heights but not that scared cos I don't look. I just pretend I am not climbing high.
