A Hidden Gem Across the Water I could stay anywhere in Amsterdam, but I keep coming back to NDSM. While not in the city center, the ferry ride gives the stay a unique charm. Parking is right next to the hotel and very affordable — a big plus compared to downtown rates. The staff is incredibly friendly, responsive, and always welcoming, starting with a warm smile and the signature DoubleTree cookie. Rooms are comfortable and well-maintained. Having stayed here many times, I’ve seen most room types – for first-time guests, I recommend a high-floor waterside room for a great view. Breakfast is excellent, with attentive staff and a personal touch that makes mornings feel special. I’ll definitely return here whenever I’m working in Amsterdam.

Location is great, room is decently clean and the glass walls are a great touch. Where it goes downhill is the amenities 0/10 for wifi, it was not working or very poor most of the time so I had problems getting work done. Would still comeback just would like to have a better welcome and service. (read the previous review, i did get bad vibes from the gentleman they are referring to, therefor avoided them and after reading their experience, i’m glad I did) Housekeepers were very nice and accommodating to some special requests I made.

Aesthetic hotel from the outside, great welcome from front desk, fun room with interesting views, exciting area, 4min walk to ferry, above average breakfast. I would gladly return. Two notes: the windows in our room could not prop open due to being blocked by the curtains, and one morning the omelette order came back with very little of anything besides egg. These were not big deals in the scope of our outstanding stay at this Doubletree.
