Explore NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam, a vibrant cultural hotspot featuring art, events, and unique architecture. Perfect for creatives and adventurers alike.

NDSM Wharf, located in the northern part of Amsterdam, is a former shipyard that has transformed into a thriving cultural and creative hub. This unique location is known for its vibrant street art, innovative events, and a community of artists and entrepreneurs.
Originally established in the early 20th century, NDSM Wharf was once a bustling shipyard where large vessels were constructed. After its closure in the 1980s, the area fell into disrepair until it was revitalized by artists and creative minds in the early 2000s.
Getting to NDSM Wharf is easy, with regular ferry services from Amsterdam Central Station. The ferry ride itself offers stunning views of the city and the waterfront.
Most events at NDSM Wharf are free to attend, but some special exhibitions or workshops may have a small fee, typically ranging from $5 to $15 USD.
Whether you're an art enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking for a unique experience in Amsterdam, NDSM Wharf is a must-visit destination that captures the spirit of creativity and innovation.

While we only booked for one night, we would have liked to stay the whole week. Very nice views from room, super nice and thoughtful staff. We didn’t get to enjoy breakfast as we had an early train. A little out of the way but free ferry service to the wharf is perfect. Thank you! We appreciate your hospitality.

Visiting our son in NDSM, the Doubletree was located within walking distance to his apartment and to the ferry to get to the central station. The staff were very friendly and we were pleased with our room. A reading lamp was malfunctioning and the fixed lotion bottle in bathroom was empty but the staff took care of it immediately and they left two bars of chocolate for our room! Will stay here again next time we are in the area.

The rooms are modern, clean and well kept, even if a bit small. The location is ideal, away from the crowds, but very easy to reach with the free ferries from the city center. Breakfast is pretty good. Water view rooms have amazing panoramas over the water and the skyline.
