Travelling for me is all about learning something new. And if that is the same with you, Taman Mini is the right place for you! Taman Mini is like a very huge museum that showcases the islands, culture and ways of life in Indonesia! You have to allocate a day to truly be able to see each provinces. You can choose to walk around or yoi can choose to rent transportation ranging from scooter, bike, to motorcycle (all electric). It's a very nice place for family and big groups. If you are a tourist like us, it is recommended to ride the cable car. That way, you will have visuals from the 'sky'. You'll see how huge the place is. One thing to be warned about though, secure your ticket online. You can buy ticket online yes, but they only accepf debit card and qr from Indonesian banks. Credit card doesn't work. We were able to enter because some kind hearted people helped us. So please prepare ahead

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah translates to “Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park.” It is a sprawling cultural park that showcases the rich diversity of Indonesia’s 38 provinces, each with its own unique traditions, architecture, language, clothing, and customs. TMII was designed to be a one-stop place for both locals and tourists to learn about the cultural wealth of this vast archipelago without having to travel across the country. Traditional Houses of Each Province The most iconic feature of TMII is the traditional pavilions, with each one representing an Indonesian province. Each pavilion displays: Traditional houses (rumah adat) Traditional clothing Artifacts, musical instruments, crafts Cultural performances or videos This part alone makes TMII worth visiting, as it offers a visual and immersive way to learn about Indonesia’s cultural mosaic. 🕌 Religious and Spiritual Spaces Istana Anak-Anak Indonesia (Children's Palace) A beautiful miniature of Borobudur Temple Pancasila Fire Monument Sacred places from different religions including mosques, churches, temples, and a Balinese pura. 🏞️ Gardens and Parks Bird Park (Taman Burung) with an aviary dome Cactus garden, orchid garden, herbal garden Freshwater aquarium and reptile park Keong Emas IMAX Theatre – shaped like a golden snail, showcasing educational films. 🚝 Transportation Within the Park TMII is huge, so it offers: Mini shuttle buses Cable cars (gondolas) with a scenic view Bicycles and scooters for rent From the air (via cable car), visitors can see a large lake with miniature islands, representing the shape of the Indonesian archipelago.

It could be a nice park, nature and space are beautiful, but any organization at this place is disappointing. We were sold tickets for the cable car (the cashier sold it too late), after which we were not allowed on this attraction, we had to wait more than half an hour for a refund. Each museum and cafe are closed really early, so come in the early morning to visit each of them. By the way, during Ramadan, everything closes 1-1.5 hours earlier, there is no warning about this in Google Maps.
