Nice place for a walk with a lot of free space. There are some cafes, so you can grab a coffee/tea or glühwein and even some food including bretzel and cover yourself in a nice warm blanket. Quite some sport activities are happening there, e.g. skateboarding, running, kite skating. It's often really windy there. You can bike or go by e-scooter. A lot of space for dogs and a high chance to find a friend for your pet. I like to walk there and to feel this amount of empty space in the city. A view of the Berlin tower as a bonus.

It is now more organised. You can have a ruining path as well bicycle etc. There is a specific place for barbecue. In sunny weather it is highly recommended especially for families with kids.

Biggest urban open space I've ever been. The place is great for cycling, running, and other sports such as kiting. There were showers of rain when we were visiting the site, and there's a serious lack of shelters to protect from it. There's an exhibition in the airport tower, locate at the southern side of the building. You can visit the tower rooftop by purchasing the ticket. I imagine that the use of this space may be very different in the summer.
