The architecture is stunning, especially the glass dome with panoramic city views. Free entry with prior registration. A perfect mix of history and modern design!

You can't go to Berlin and not visit the Reichstag building. It's beautifully restored yet retains the signs of damage it suffered during the Second World War. The main attraction is of course the glass dome - but you should spend time to take in the display that on the ground floor that does a really good job of summarizing recent German history.

Incredible architecture and excellent audio guide taking you through the various highlights in the Berlin skyline. Went at about 8pm during the summer months and the view was breathtaking. It can be difficult to obtain tickets online but you can get them directly from the ticket office opposite. We got evening entry tickets by registering in person earlier in the afternoon on a weekday. I think this is a must-visit if you come to Berlin! It's also free which is an added bonus.
