This is a historical site I definitely wanted to visit when I came to Berlin. Some of the wall art is depicted in a way that conveys the weight of its historical background, which left a strong impression on me.

Amazing gallery. You can go any time during the day. You'll have a crowd all through, but they tend to distribute all across. The only place where you might have to wait for a picture would be at the iconic kiss painting 😅

The “Fraternal Kiss” mural is the most unforgettable part of the Berlin Wall. It shows Brezhnev and Honecker locked in an exaggerated kiss—two dictators symbolizing “brotherly love” while their regimes built walls, silenced dissent, and crushed freedom. The irony is brutal and brilliant. This piece doesn’t just depict history—it ridicules it. A powerful reminder that propaganda can be beautiful on the outside and deadly underneath.
