It was a really cool experience to see how the process works. Tasting the fresh chocolate was amazing. They have an amazing gift shop where you will want to buy a whole bunch of treats. The only down side of the whole thing is when they have tours, the group will sit or stand in spots in the room then you can't see anything behind them.

This was one of the highlights of our trip! A last minute decision as we walked along the water coming off our Avalon River Cruise. Short walk from the dock. The museum was organized and spacious. The flow was methodical and full of interesting facts. You could watch the staff create chocolate delights and hit a button and it would shoot out a square of chocolate for you to sample! Exquisite! In addition, you could create your own chocolate concoction with up to 4 additions and they would make it for you - you just need 45 minutes for the creation. The vast number of options to purchase would satisfy any palate! Loved this well organized museum. Highly recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had at the Chocolate Museum in Cologne! From the moment we entered, we were greeted with delicious Lindt chocolate samples, setting the tone for a sweet adventure. The museum offers an engaging journey through the history of chocolate, from ancient civilizations to modern production methods. Watching the live chocolate-making process and tasting from the impressive 3-meter-high chocolate fountain were definite highlights. It’s a delightful experience for both kids and adults, and the abundance of free chocolate makes it even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cologne!
