One of not many free attractions of Cologne. You definitely need to see this beautiful place. Covering an area of 11.5 hectares, the garden is home to nearly 10,000 plant species from around the world. Notably, the Alpine Garden alone contains approximately 2,000 species of mountain plants. The garden also features extensive collections of magnolias, rhododendrons, conifers, maples, and Hamamelidaceae, as well as a medicinal plant garden and a farmer’s garden showcasing local crops

Absolutely loved it! Even better than I thought it would be. Spring is obviously a great time to visit, the sun was shining and all the flowers were in full bloom. The gardens are massive and there are so many paths and different sections so it keeps it interesting as you’re always seeing something new. It’s incredible how many different species of plants they have.
