Beautiful forest, nice walking/hiking routes. Loud noises when you are still close to the road. Well-kept forest without garbage, comfortable walking paths.

The trail here was great. Steep climb up past the waterfalls but it is well designed and well maintained. There were places to buy drinks—beer, water, schnapps—no matter which direction you walked the trail. The hike was shaded almost the entire time so it was perfect for a bright, hot morning or afternoon.

Took us a while to understand where to enter the forest and start the hiking adventure, so if you have same issue - here is what we did. Go to a parking next to Hotel Forsthaus Auerhahn - (48.5907826, 8.2508840). Once you parked - it’s few minutes walking to the sigh of where you can go in the forest and these are many different way to explore. (Picture with plan attached) We took the one to Wildsee - walked around 1 h 15 m, but unfortunate it was closed till 15th March, still - you can see even a better view from Wildseeblick. Basically the wildsee is a lake down in mountain and Wildseeblick is a view point where you see the lake from above. Really beautiful! Was a great hiking experience:) will be back for more as this place is so wild and huge. Dogs are allowed with a leash, so we were happy to take ours. Good luck!
