The cathedral was very impressive. It was a huge building with free admission. We were there at the right time and were able to see the clock movements. It was totally amazing.

Visiting the Strasbourg Cathedral was an unforgettable highlight of my trip. Awe-inspiring structure is one of the most magnificent examples of Gothic architecture in Europe I guess. The level of craftsmanship in every inch of the cathedral is truly unbelievable. Each carving, statue, and relief on its seems to carry deep meaning and historical richness. It’s not just decorative—it tells stories. You can spend hours simply admiring the exterior, discovering new details every time you look up: scenes from the Bible, mythical creatures, saints, and symbolic motifs, all sculpted with stunning precision. Stepping inside is just as moving. The vast interior, stained-glass windows is just amazing. You can differentiate based on the art the era it was completed in given it took 500 years on an average to complete it. One of the highlights is the astronomical clock. If you’re anywhere near Alsace, this cathedral is absolutely worth a detour. Magnificent is the only word that even comes close.

The size and grandeur from the outside are truly impressive. You can enter for free, and once you’re inside, it feels like stepping into a completely different world. This isn’t necessarily about faith — it’s something that genuinely moves you. Even the smallest painting or detail makes you want to stop and look at it for minutes.
