Accessible by cog-wheel train or hiking (if you're up for the challenge), Rigi is a must-visit if you love hiking and mountain views. There is a nice and short hike near the cliff overlooking Lake Zug.

I regret not having visited this place before. After about an hour-long boat ride from Lucerne, we arrived in Vitznau. From there, we took a wonderful cogwheel train climbing up the mountain all the way to the summit of Rigi. Every stage of the journey was incredibly beautiful — a truly amazing experience. After breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the fantastic atmosphere, we walked all the way to Scheidegg while enjoying breathtaking views of the majestic Alps. The hike took over two hours, but I can honestly say I have never had a more beautiful nature walk before. We saw countless varieties of flowers and plants and greeted cows grazing on lush green meadows. The nearly ten hours passed by so quickly, I hardly noticed the time. I will definitely do this tour again very soon. Wishing all those who go a great trip in advance!

I took the cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm and the view along the way was absolutely breathtaking — like riding into a dream above the clouds. Once at the top, the panoramic scenery left me speechless. Later, I visited the Rigi Kaltbad mineral baths, and the experience was pure serenity. Soaking in the warm water while gazing out over the mountains felt like therapy for both body and soul. A place I’ll always carry in my heart.
