While the monument is beautiful, it is very popular. We went during the day and there were many people around. Our family enjoyed to nearby cave exhibit to cool off. It is easy to walk to the monument for all ages.

Lovely monument with great significance behind it. Ticket not required if you’re doing a self guide tour. Can be pretty packed “lots of tourists”.
