The museum offers free entry on every Wednesday to collections and small exhibitions, and it totally worth it. A fee can be paid extra for an audio guide. Impressive art from 14th to nowadays periods are exposed, and it could take up to 2 hours to see everything. The collections are very impressive along with the architecture of the museum building as well. Visitors are not allowed with bottles of water so I had to go up and down to the locker room few times due to incomplete guidance I received at the reception in regards the luggage rule.

One of the major museums of Switzerland. Great collection from middle ages to modern... couldn't see the sculptures. Pipilotti Rist was a different experience all together.. highly recommended for art lovers

I used Zurich 24 hr pass for free access to the museum. This allows for most exhibits, excluding special ones. There are elevators and many toilets. The toilets were clean and free. The layout was easy to navigate.
