There are two parts to the gallery: one is free and open to the public, where you can walk through and enjoy a range of beautiful artworks. The second part is a ticketed exhibition (A Century of Modern Art), which costs $29 for residents and has timed entry every 15 minutes. The paid exhibition is absolutely worth it – it’s so special to see masterpieces by Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh and many more up close. The Van Gogh painting in particular was breathtaking. Seeing it in person was unforgettable – I just couldn’t look away. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Auckland – a rare and inspiring exhibition!
