When I was there, it seems to have a night event with busy staff working on setting up a few structures. Still, as an important religious center for the locals, it also has the venue for wedding ceremony and other important events. A significant shrine with magnificent history.

This is so far my favourite shrine. Not too crowded and has minimal tourists. The size of the compound is just right with many shrines. So peaceful without the tourist crowd.

Osaka Tenmangu Shrine is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit, especially if you want a break from the busy city streets. It has a rich history and is known for the Tenjin Matsuri, one of Japan’s most famous festivals. The grounds are well kept, and the atmosphere is calm and spiritual. It’s not overly touristy, so you can really take your time and enjoy the surroundings. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Osaka!
