Very beautiful, classic building in Buenos Aires. The architecture and the grass work are incredible. I suggest getting a reservations in advance for a guided tour. The concerts there are also amazing. Walkby arrival may be very hard to have a decent tour...

I went to see Carmen, absolutely AMAZING! The theatre is absolutly gorgeous, elegant snd well wirth having either a tour or see a play, opera or ballet... its impossible to understand the extent of the production team behind the scenes... luckily I was with someone who explained a little of the insights .... definitely a beautiful experience and interesting place to visit!

Unfortunately, I only had the chance to visit the Teatro Colón as part of a guided tour, not for an actual performance. You need to book a time slot in advance – it seemed easier to get a spot on the English tours than the Spanish ones. The tour was well-organized, informative, and delivered with a good sense of humor. The building itself is stunning, full of history and elegance in every detail. Next time I’m in Buenos Aires, I’ll definitely try to experience it as it was meant to be – from the audience.
